Annual Cultural Program and Prize Giving Ceremony 2025–26
The Annual Cultural Program and Prize Giving Ceremony 2025–26 of Bangladesh Air Force Shaheen English Medium School and College was held on 20 and 21 May 2026 at Shaheen Hall. On the final day of the two-day অনুষ্ঠান, the Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, NSWC, PSC, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In addition, Saleha Khan, Chief Patron of the Bangladesh Air Force Women Welfare Association (BAFWWA), Others’ Women and Children Club (OWCC), and President of the BAF Ladies Club and Children’s Club, Dhaka, was present as the Special Guest.
At the ceremony, the Chief Guest presented special awards in recognition of the outstanding achievements of BAF SEMS students in the Cambridge O-Level and A-Level examinations (May–June 2025). Notably, two students achieved “Top in the World” in O-Level Mathematics-D, one student in Additional Mathematics, and another in Accounting. The Chief Guest highly praised the dedication, expertise, and relentless efforts of the teachers of the Mathematics and Accounting departments.
Later, awards were presented for Best Student in the Junior and Senior divisions, as well as the Student of the Decade Award. In the Junior Division, Waziha Tazim received the honor, while Ridhima Sarkar was recognized in the Senior Division for her exceptional academic performance and achievements in co-curricular activities. Sahil Wazir Mamun was honored as the Student of the Decade for his outstanding accomplishments and contributions. In addition, Mohammad Emdadul Haque and Sultan Mahmud received the “Best Teacher 2025–26” awards in the School and College divisions respectively, in recognition of their exceptional dedication and contributions to education.
The honorable Chief Guest highly appreciated the remarkable achievements of the students and expressed optimism that BAF SEMS would continue its legacy of excellence in the future. Air Vice Marshal Syed Saeedur Rahman, OSP, BUP, NDC, AFWC, PSC, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar and Chairman of the Governing Body of Shaheen English Medium School and College (SEMS), was also present at the event.
In his welcome speech, Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, PSC, highlighted the institution’s remarkable achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. During the annual cultural program and prize giving ceremony, students of BAF SEMS delivered captivating performances including songs, recitations, dances, and drama. Senior officials of the Bangladesh Air Force, guardians, and students of the college attended the event as invited guests.
